Low Calorie and Low Point Snack Ideas
This is a list of snacks that I like that are low(er) calorie and low(er) point. I don’t eat too many sweet snacks as I find it makes me crave more and cravings make it harder for me to keep on track. I also don’t eat a lot of prepacked 100 Calorie packs. I think they are really over priced but hey if that’s what it takes for someone to learn portion control then that is great. I will add to this list as I think of ideas.
0 Weight Watcher Point Snacks
- 1 cup of broth (I keep bullion cubes in my desk drawer at work for when I need a little something)
- raw veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, carrots, green beans, peppers, etc)
- 2 cups lettuce with spray dressing (I like Ken’s Honey Mustard Vinaigrette)
1 Weight Watcher Point Snacks
- 1 slice of whole grain bread* and 1 oz lean turkey or ham lunch meat
- Raw 0 point veggies with 2 Tbs low fat sour cream mixed with Ranch Dip Mix
- 4 oz yogurt with 1 serving FiberOne Cereal
- Small banana (about 2.5 oz without peel)
- Small apple
- 1 cup strawberries
- 100 calorie pack of microwave popcorn (about the only 100 calorie pack I eat)
- Soup
- 3 Tbs Spinach Feta Dip with raw veggies
- 1 serving of a 1 point cereal
2 Weight Watcher Points Snacks
- 1 serving Baked Tostitos with salsa
- Most flavors of Kid Clif Z Bars (the peanut butter one is 3 points)
- Boiled egg
- Laughing Cow Wedge on 1 point worth of crackers, pita, or a Thomas’ mini bagel
- Thomas’ mini bagel with 1 Tbs of light Smart Balance or 1 Tbs of jelly
- String cheese
- A 1 point tortilla with 1/2 cup fat free refried beans and salsa (add 1/2 oz low fat cheese for 1 more point)
- FiberOne Bar
- 1 serving of a 1 point cereal with 1/2 cup skim milk
2.5 Weight Watcher Points Snacks
- 1 slice of whole grain bread and 1 Tbs peanut butter. * This snack is a good one to carry with me if I will be out for a while and will need a snack but don’t have to worry about keeping it cool.
3 Weight Watcher Points Snacks
- 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese on 2 rice crackers. I like mine sprinkled with salt and pepper
- Thomas’ mini bagel with 1 Tbs peanut butter
- Grilled Cheese made with 2 slices of bread*, 1 laughing cow wedge and 1 slice fat free American cheese with spray butter
- A 5oz baked potato with salsa mixed with 2 Tbs low fat sour cream
* I use bread that is 1 point for 2 slices
