Sometimes the mood for dessert strikes me but I either don’t have time to make something or I don’t have the stuff on hand to make anything elaborate. This is a very simple dessert to throw together at the last minute.
Yogurt Parfait
4 oz yogurt, any flavor
1/3 cup fruit, I particularly like strawberries
1/3 cup cereal
Take a small individual ramekin or glass dish. Layer yogurt, fruit and cereal. Serve.

I use my crock pot a lot. Its nice to come home and have dinner already made. Having dinner already made when I get home prevents me from stopping for fast food or snacking before dinner.
Teriyaki Chicken
Serves 4
1 lb chicken breasts
6 tablespoons soy sauce
6 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon pepper
Combine soy sauce, honey, vinegar, thyme, paprika, cayenne pepper and pepper in a medium sized crock pot; mix well. Place chicken in the crock pot and turn several times to coat. Cook on low 4-5 hours.
